Adopt an Artwork
The Adopt an Artwork exhibition program provides available works of art in the Art in Public Places Collection with Miami-Dade County facilities that do not currently have public art on display.
To view artworks currently available for adoption, visit this link.
How to request artwork:
1. If you are a County Department interested in adopting an artwork, please contact the all three of the following Art in Public Places team members to coordinate a preliminary consultation:
Amanda Sanfilippo Long, Curator & Artist Manager
Bianca González LoCicero, Collection Manager
Yusimy Lara, Cultural Projects Officer
Bianca.gonzalez@miamidade.gov
Yusimy.lara@miamidade.gov
Amanda.Sanfilippo@miamidade.gov
2. After the consultation, APP staff will work with you to finalize the selections and provide you with a checklist of works for approval.
3. APP staff will work with you to coordinate the artwork installation and supply signage. Please note that artwork installation or requests to remove artwork requires at least a two-week coordination period at minimum after specific artworks have been requested.
Requests for artwork will be accepted from all departments on a first come, first served basis, but priority will be given to those departments without public art. Artworks must be located in a publicly-accessible area deemed to be a secure location by the Department of Cultural Affairs staff.
