Message from the Mayor

Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine CavaAs Mayor of Miami-Dade County, I am honored to celebrate the 50-year anniversary of Miami-Dade County Art in Public Places, a first of its kind program in the nation. Art in Public Places has fostered greater artistic and civic pride in our community and enriched our public spaces for all. Art captures our history, tells our stories, and reminds us of our shared humanity. It is key to a healthy and thriving community. That's why Miami-Dade is making many investments in beautifying our community and strengthening the ecosystem of artists, from welcoming art pieces featuring our native flora and fauna at Miami International Airport, to innovative works of art promoting healing at Jackson Health System. We will continue to support a thriving arts community for generations to come. Here's to 50 years of Art in Public Places!
